The main tasks are performed by the State Radio Frequency Service under the Ministry communications of Turkmenistan:

1. Implementation of state policy on effective use of radio frequency spectrum in Turkmenistan;
2. Implementation of technical radio control over the use of radio frequency spectrum in the territory of Turkmenistan;
3. Implementation of radio monitoring;
4. Detection of unauthorized use of radio electronic means and high frequency devices and prevention of their operation;
5. Include information on assigned radio frequencies (radio frequency bands) in the unified register of radio frequencies;
6. Checking of assignment and accounting of working frequencies, callsign signals of radio-electronic means and high-frequency devices intended for providing communication services in the territory of Turkmenistan;
7. Registration and removal from the account in the established order of radio electronic means and high-frequency devices on the territory of Turkmenistan;
8. Maintenance and continuous improvement of the system of automated database of radio frequency assignment and calculation of electromagnetic compatibility.
9. Carrying out checks of radio-electronic means and high-frequency devices imported through the customs border and located in the territory of Turkmenistan;
10. Introduction of advanced technologies, new technical means as well as development and modernization of material and technical base;
11. Participate in the development of regulatory legal acts and proposals to improve legislation on the radio frequency spectrum.
